GUY K. KROGH, Esq. is the senior partner and President of Thaler & Thaler, P.C. (the "Firm"). Born in Cleveland, Ohio and admitted to the New York State bar in 1990, Mr. Krogh attended Kenyon College and Syracuse University, having received his law degree from the Syracuse University College of Law and graduating in the top 10% of his class cum laude. At law school he was the Associate Editor of the Syracuse Law Review and the author of "The Satellite Competition Debate: An Analysis of FCC Policy and an Argument in Support of Open Competition," 40 Syracuse Law Review 867 (1989), for which he received the Robert M. Anderson Publication Award. Mr. Krogh is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Tompkins County Bar Association, as well as the New York State Bar Association Sections/Committees on Intellectual Property, Municipal Law, and Business Law.

Mr. Krogh's practice is concentrated in municipal and governmental law and defense, administrative law, zoning and land use law, and corporate and commercial transactions. Mr. Krogh is admitted to practice law throughout the State of New York and currently serves as attorney for the towns of Caroline, Danby, Enfield, Ithaca, and Lansing, and as attorney for the Village of Trumansburg, in Tompkins County. In Cayuga County Mr. Krogh represents the Town of Genoa, in Seneca County he represents the Village of Interlaken, and in Schuyler County Mr. Krogh represents the Towns of Catharine and Reading and the Village of Odessa. Mr. Krogh is also general counsel for the Southern Cayuga Lake Intermunicipal Water Commission (known more commonly as Bolton Point, a 5-member municipal water supply plant), and the Greater Tompkins County Municipal Health Insurance Consortium (comprised of approximately 60 participating municipalities and agencies).

Mr. Krogh also currently represents several villages and towns as special counsel, including upon select projects, ranging from special district matters to code and zoning enforcement, solar and cellular tower installations, personnel and civil service issues, and other general matters. Mr. Krogh has also served as special counsel to several intergovernmental agencies and intermunicipal consortiums and is an appointed special criminal prosecutor in four counties, focusing principally upon administrative law, code enforcement, animal law, and other municipally based issues and offenses.

Mr. Krogh is outside counsel for several local and national corporate and not-for-profit clients and is the past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Tompkins County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Inc and was a past President of the Tompkins County Bar Association. Mr. Krogh is also a frequent public, private, and CLE speaker upon topics pertaining to start-up businesses, corporations and LLCs, and municipal law, including for the New York Association of Towns, the New York Conference of Mayors, and the NYS Planning Federation. Recent engagements include presentations upon the legal limits and structure of Road Use Laws and Agreements, Moratoria and Home Rule Law, Telecommunications Law, the EPA and Stormwater Laws and Requirements, the Limits of Governmental Power in Land Use Reviews, and Code and Zoning Enforcement. Mr. Krogh regularly advises municipal groups and New York State Legislators upon the impact of municipal issues, has taught certification courses for commercial insurance licensure in New York, and is accredited by the New York Department of State as an instructor for code official training in New York.
